This dictionary contains all the words used in the Hebrew Bible, which occur 25 times or more. For example the word ראשון (reshon, used 182 times) is derived from the root ראש (rosh, used 615 times), both being included in the list. The word ראשות (reshot, used 1 time) is also derived from the same root, but is used less than 25 times in the Bible and is not included in the dictionary.

The Hebrew words in this dictionary do not contain any of the prefixes or suffixes as found in the Hebrew text. By removing the prefixes and suffixes of the Hebrew words in the text, the word can be found. For example the word השמים (hashamayim), includes the prefix ה (ha) meaning "the." When this is removed we have שמים (shamayim) meaning "heavens" or "sky." As another example, the word ויאמרו, (vay'yom'ru) meaning "and they said," has two prefixes (ו and י), and one suffix (ו). When these are removed we have the word אמר (amar) meaning, "to say".
