Early Semitic:
In use around 1500 BCE and before by most Semitic tribes. Middle Semitic:
In use between 1500 and 500 BCE by most Semitic tribes. Continued to be used by the Hebrews into the first century AD. Late Semitic:
In use between 500 BCE and 100 CE by the Aramaen and Hebrews. Modern Semitic:
A similar script to the late Semitic used by modern Hebrews which evolved slightly from 100 CE to today. Note:
