Human Footprint
The Langebaan Print
Langebaan Lagoon, South Africa
117,000 years ago

The Discovery:

Dr. David Roberts, a South African geologist, discovered three fossilized human footprints in sand along the shores of the Langebaan Lagoon, north of Cape Town, South Africa.

Established Theory:

The footprints are believed to be the oldest footprints of modern man ever discovered to date.

Alternative Theory:

As these footprints are reported as "modern man", no alternative theory or rebuttal is made.

Conclusions:

It is interesting to note that less detail is found in these prints which scientist agree are of modern humans, than in other prints from more ancient times which scientists insist are not made from a modern human.
