Hebrew Dictionaries
These dictionaries are invaluable for the study of Hebrew words in the Biblical text. Some of these require the reader to know the Hebrew alphabet to look up Hebrew words, others do not.
Bible Dict/Enc
These dictionaries are alphabetical listings of the persons, places and things found in the Bible and provide specific details to assist the reader with Biblical interpretation. Similar to the Bible Dictionary Encyclopedias usually focus on the various subjects of the Bible such as cultures, lifestyle, activities, religions, agriculture, etc. These books will provide a solid background for understanding the ancient world of the near east.
Concordance
A concordance will list every word in a particular English translation of the Bible and provide a list of every passage this word is found. Most concordances will also give you the Hebrew word and its definition behind each English word.
Lexicons
For those that are reading the Bible in Hebrew, a lexicon will allow you to look up each word found in the Bible for finding its root as well as meaning.
Greek Resources
These dictionaries, Lexicons and other resources are for the study of the Greek Septuagint (ancient translation of the Hebrew text) as well as for studies in the New Testament.
