Finaeus Map

Description: This map was found in the Library of Congress, Washington DC in 1960 by Charles Hapgood. It was drawn by Oronteus Finaeus in 1531 and includes a very accurate map of the continent of Antarctica, which was not discovered by modern man until 1820. What is even more perplexing is that this map of Antarctica is shown to be ice free with flowing mountains, rivers, drainage patterns and clean coastline. As most of the continent has been covered by a mile thick ice sheet for thousands of years, the mountains and coastline of Antarctica were not discovered until very recently with the use of ground penetrating radar.
